Embodied Knowing Library
A Monthly Subscription Library of Awareness Through Movement ™ Lessons
Your nervous system already knows how to find the way forward.
It just needs the conditions to do it.
That is what Awareness Through Movement™ does. Not by pushing or fixing or optimizing — but by creating the conditions for your nervous system to reorganize itself, gently, from the inside out.
The Embodied Knowing Library exists so that practice is always available to you. Not just when a program is running. Not only when you can make a live class. Any time you need to come home to your body.

What Awareness Through Movement actually does
Awareness Through Movement™ (ATM) is a core practice of the Feldenkrais Method® — a somatic movement approach grounded in neuroscience and decades of clinical and educational application.
In an ATM lesson, you move slowly and with attention — exploring small, gentle movements that invite your nervous system to sense, differentiate, and reorganize. There is no big effort, no stretching, no performance. There is only noticing and increasing ease.
Over time and with regular practice, this does something measurable and felt:
Proprioception deepens
your brain's map of your body becomes more detailed, more accurate, more available to you
Habitual patterns shift
the ways you've learned to hold, brace, and guard begin to soften as new options become possible
Allostasis improves
your nervous system's capacity to respond to stress and return to a regulated state becomes more reliable and more elastic
Comfort in the body increases
not as a concept, but as a lived, moment-to-moment experience
A moving meditation emerges
the kind of presence that doesn't require stillness, but arises from genuine attention to sensation.
This is not a workout. It is not stretching. It is not relaxation, though you may feel deeply rested afterward.
It is learning. Your nervous system, doing what it does best — finding easier, more efficient, more alive ways to move through the world.
Why a library
If you've done this work in a live class or cohort, you already know what it feels like to practice regularly. You know the difference between a week when you've moved with awareness and a week when you haven't.
The Embodied Knowing Library exists for that gap — the space between live offerings, between programs, between sessions. A place to maintain and deepen what you've already begun.
New lessons are added every month, drawn from live classes. The library grows as the teaching grows. You practice at your own pace, in your own space, on your own schedule.
This is your practice home.
About the teaching
Sharon Costianes
These lessons are guided by Sharon Costianes, a Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience teaching Awareness Through Movement™ across an extraordinary range of bodies, nervous systems, and life contexts — singers, speakers, activists, caregivers, people in recovery, people in transition, people simply trying to feel more at home in themselves.
What 20 years of teaching this work gives you: the ability to guide with precision, with patience, and with genuine attunement to how a nervous system actually learns. Not what it should do. What it can discover.
Sharon's teaching is warm, unhurried, and grounded in both scientific rigor and deep embodied knowing. People often find themselves doing things they didn't think were possible — not because they tried harder, but because the conditions were finally right.
